Best Hair Straighteners and Flat Irons of 2007
2007's Best Flat Irons and Hair Straighteners
CurlytoStraight.com announces the winners of the very best 2007 hair straighteners.
The criteria that was used to determine this "Best Of" list are; product features, reliability, user reviews and customer support. This review will not go over all classes of flat irons or hair straighteners available. Only higher quality products were reviewed and the cost wasn't considered.
These reviews are based on customer feed back, product quality and features. This doesn't take price into account.
1) The FHI Runway Series - This brand of straightener is easily the finest on the market. It offers each and every innovative capability; lightening fast heat time, damp-or-dry styling, adjustable heat, revolutionary heating plates, 450F max temp and the most consistent plate heating of any product out there. The Runway models also have the best customer feed back of any the products that we reviewed. If you want the best and most effective hair straighteners out there this is definitely it, and they are pricey. These hair straighteners usually about $400.
Are the Runway models really worth it? If you can afford it, definitely.
2) The FHI Platform Series - As pioneers in the progress of ceramic plating and tourmaline integration, The Platform series offers a premium hair straightener at a much more affordable price. Available to buy in several sizes, the FHI Platform series provides PTFC ceramic heat plates, ultra flash heat times, 450F max heat and adjustable temperature. While these items are less expensive than the FHI Runway series, they are still on the expensive side at around $150 - $200.
3) CHI Pink Series - The popular pink hair straightener offers the very best performance and dependability of any Farouk CHI hair straightener. Ceramic plates, temperature control, and flash heat times combined with an ergonomically fitted handle make the CHI hair straightener an attractive choice for anybody who wants the most from their hair.
4) T3 Wet-or-Dry - This flat iron actually ranked above the CHI Pink series as far as product features are concerned, but it was knocked to fourth place largely because customers have struggled with returns on the warranty. Aside from that, the T3 Wet-or-Dry provides consumers with a sturdy ceramic design.
5) CHI Turbo Series - The Turbo series takes fifth place in our 2007 straightener review. This hair straightener line is used by more hair styling professionals than any other model. And though its maximum temperature and flash heating aren't as good as the CHI Pink, the CHI Turbo series is the perfect option for anyone that wants outstanding reliability and performance.
Honorable Mention
While our review of flat irons features the best of the bunch, there are many other top quality, professionally designed flat irons and straighteners on the market today. The following are some of those:
GHD Hair Straighteners - An attractive product with a polished design that merges many different progressive features makes the GHD straighteners a wonderful choice.
HAI Hair Straightener|Flat Iron - HAI has two high quality offerings at reasonable prices; the Nu Stik and the Convertible.FHI Flat Iron|Hair Straightener - The FHI Technique series provides best in Class products for the more traditional models. The FHI flat iron is a quality product with a number of of the technologies of the new millennium.
*One of the more acclaimed models out there, the sedu hair straighteners, wasn't reviewed because of what seems to be misleading sales practices and the exclusive, anti-competitive online distribution agreement.
