Make your February 14 extra special this year.
Romance is the main language of the heart. That's why every year we set apart a special day to celebrate love!
All relationships involve some commitment to keep the flame burning high. Romance is sexy and powerful and for most of us a necessity toour lives. When we show the special soul mate in our lives that they are special to us, we are being romantic.
Whilst men and females live on different 'planets' and they have
their own
ideas about what romance is, no matter what planet you inhabit, it just feels so wonderful when someone you love do their best to spoil you no
matter which way they choose.
Whatever you do, February 14 should be
about spending quality time
with your other half, and not about the giving of high-pricedpresents.
This year, to make your Valentines Day extra special, why not do things a bit different to the way you
would normally do? Give the special gift of your time instead of expensive presents.
In 5 years time, what do you think your other half will
rememberbest?
The jeweleryyou bought them or the extra
special way you made them feel?
Valentines Day Activities
Plan to spend a relaxing time at home rather than having to rush to and from
places! Rather than rushing out to a restaurant or a movie house theater, why not bring
Valentines Day to your own home?
Love Notes
The night before February 14, hide little love notes and
mini chocolates in your beloved's car or briefcase so that they will find it on
their way to work or while at work.
Watch a Valentines Day Sunrise!
Start your February 14 activities by watching the
beautiful miracle of the day dawning! How much more romantic can the start to your
Valentines day be than to find a peaceful place to sit and just be together, taking in the sun slowly
getting higher on the horizon, while sipping a cup of hot cappuccino from a
thermos flask!
Bubble it up!
If do you get up to watch the sunrise, you will in all probably some time
available before either one of you have to rush off to work. Spend a bit of time and enjoy a nice hot shower or a
fragrant bubble bath together.
Have a good breakfast together if time permits.
Order in!
Rather than spending your time cooking, order in! Place an order for the dish that
your partner enjoys and have it delivered at a specified time. That way, you get
to relax too! While you wait for your meal to be delivered, put on some romantic music to listen
to in the background. Light some candles to create a romantic
atmosphere.
Pour some wine or bubbly, and snuggle on the couch or lay out a soft and snuggly
blanket in front of a roaring fire. Sneak little hugs in between sips of wine or bubbly.
Dance!
Enjoy a slow dance together. Slow dancing is a wonderful way to spend quality time together without having to
talk. Listen to the music and just open yourself up to the magic of being together.
Have a film marathon on a big screen!
Have a film marathon watching the movies that your loved one will enjoy, all in the comfort
of your own home. Rent a big screen Television for the day and turn it into your own movie
theater! Cuddle together on a big couch, holding hands and sharing some
laughs or tears watching a variety of films.
Laugh it up!
a) If your other half is not the movie watching kind, hire some funny
Television, pull out the Play Station. Play against one another and be a kid again! You will
probably find that it is the best fun you have had in a long time!
b) Buy some Red and White blackboard chalk and write love messages to one another on a wall in your
lounge. Draw big hearts with arrows through it. Draw caricatures of one another. Build your own Love
Grafitti Wall! (Select a wall that will not get messed up by the chalk! The wall will clean up easy enough when you
need it to - just wipe with a damp cloth).
Remember the adage: It's not that you don't play because you're too old, you get old because you don't play!
Above all, ensure that you cuddle and hug and laugh for the day.
Do not talk about old fights or insecurities, there are 364 other days of the year for
that!
Enjoy your Saint Valentines Day!
