These Boots Are Made For Walking
A few years ago boots were the footwear of choice for cowboys and farmers and nobody else. Now you cannot open the pages of a magazine or switch on the television without seeing all manner of celebrities in boots of all shapes, sizes and colors. Never before has the boot been as popular as it is now. Worn all year round, there are boots for every season and every trend going. Even the cowboy boot itself has become popular with the A-list and the faithful Wellington boot had a revamp for 2005's very wet festival season.
While the stars may wear designer footwear costing hundreds of dollars, replicating their look doesn't have to cost you anywhere near as much. The high street have become adept at taking a look as worn by a celebrity and manufacturing a similar item at a fraction of the cost.
Boots are both stylish and practical for the winter months. Worn under, or over, jeans they transform any outfit from casual to casual chic. Whether with or without a heel, any self-respecting celebrity has been wearing boots all season. As the weather gets warmer the boot is changed to one which works with a skirt, be it knee or even ankle length - the pixie boot is back with a vengeance.
Suede boots are very popular at present and they are predominantly sold in shades of black, brown or cream and are knee length. These look great with or without a heel and can be worn over skinny leg jeans for a funky, modern look. Leather boots are also popular. These are becoming more colourful as the weather is getting warmer and black and brown are being replaced with red, green and blue boots. These are more often found with a heel. This has been a stiletto heel for some time but the chunky heel is starting to regain its popularity and so these will become increasingly common over the next few months. Round or pointed toes are perfectly acceptable and additional features such as buckles or straps add to the boot's appeal. Bejewelled footwear is also on the rise and so will be hitting the high street shortly.
Metallic colors are all the rage this season and so you will find that leather boots with a high shine silver or gold finish will be highly sought after. These work well in ankle or knee length and can glam up even the most casual of outfits.
The cowboy boot has never been as popular as it is now and they are available in every color under the sun. These look great worn with skirts as the boots are a decorative item in their own right. Alternatively, wear over trousers for a similar look. These boots tend to have a small heel and so are practical and comfortable as well as stylish.
